The lawyer committed suicide after firing on his wife and in-laws

Karachi: In Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of ​​Shar-e-Quaid, the son-in-law committed suicide by firing on his wife and in-laws after filing a case of khula.

According to sources, a firing incident took place inside a house in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-14 in which 4 persons including 3 women were injured. Upon receiving information from the locals, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital. Initially, police said the shooting was caused by a khula case.

According to police, 40-year-old Mansoor Advocate opened fire on his wife and in-laws on the issue of khula and later shot himself as a result. Father-in-law Sohail Ahmed, 65, was injured.

Mansoor Advocate’s wife had filed a divorce case out of frustration over the violence, which the accused threatened to kill to withdraw. A case was registered against the accused by the in-laws under the Telegraph Act. The accused took drastic action on the insistence of withdrawing the cases and the refusal of the in-laws.

According to police, Mansoor Advocate’s brother took him to a private hospital where he was in critical condition due to gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
