The deaths of children from measles in Sindh have opened the floodgates of the vaccination campaign

The deaths of children from measles in Dadu and Nowshero Feroz districts opened the floodgates of Sindh Health Department’s anti-measles and rubella campaign.

Director General Health Sindh Dr. Jaman Bahatu has written a letter to the District Health Officers, according to which deaths and cases of measles have been reported in Dadu and Nowshero Feroz districts of Sindh.

The letter said that an inquiry committee should be formed in this regard to investigate the matter.

It may be recalled that the Sindh Health Department had claimed 106% success in the anti-measles and rubella campaign across the province.

This month, a large number of children in these districts have been infected with measles, and the affected children have not been vaccinated.
