London: The normal life was affected by the strike of 5 lakh workers of 124 government institutions in Great Britain.
According to British media, the strikers include teachers, Border Force employees including ambulance, train and bus services. The striking workers demanded an increase in salaries and benefits from the British government.
Schools, universities, train and bus services in the UK are badly affected due to the strike of 500,000 government employees. During the strike, 85 percent of schools and 150 universities remained partially or completely closed in the country.
