Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly has accepted the resignation of 43 more members of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

According to sources, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has accepted the resignations of 43 more members of PTI.

Sources say that the resignation was sent by the Speaker of the National Assembly to the Election Commission for approval a few days ago.

According to the sources, the Speaker has sent the summary of the resignation of 43 members to the Election Commission, which has also been received by the Election Commission.

Now only the defected members who were elected on Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket are left in the National Assembly.

Which members’ resignations have been accepted so far?

It should be remembered that a few days ago Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted the resignations of 34 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed.

Apart from this, the Speaker National Assembly accepted the resignations of 11 members of the National Assembly of PTI in July 2022, out of which Shakur Shad, Member of the National Assembly from Karachi, filed a petition in the court and withdrew his resignation.

The Speaker National Assembly accepted the resignations of 35 more PTI members on January 20.

Now, after the approval of 43 more resignations, a total of 122 resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and one resignation of Sheikh Rasheed have been accepted.
