PSO has asked the government for a bailout package of Rs 600 billion

Islamabad (92 News) – PSO has asked the government for a bailout package of 600 billion rupees. If the amount is not paid to the petroleum suppliers, the supply to the petrol pumps will be stopped.

Soi Southern, Soi Northern and PIAPSO turned out to be debtors of Rs.600 billion. PIA took fuel from PSO, used it, also sold air tickets but did not pay dues to PSO. Gas companies were also going to be left behind. The companies continued to receive monthly bills from the customers but the PSOs did not care to pay.

Finance Ministry sources say that PSO has demanded a bailout package of 600 billion rupees from the government. The stand was taken that if the amount is not paid to the petroleum supplier, the supply to the country’s petrol pumps should be stopped. For the first time in the country’s history, three major institutions have been buried under such a huge sum.

The Ministry of Finance shared the details of the due amounts with 92News. With Rs 350 billion, Soi Northern is the biggest defaulter, power supply companies owe Rs 150 billion while there is a pricing dispute over Rs 10 billion. The remaining amount is owed by Sui Southern and PIA.
