Police shelling on PTI workers, Shahid Afridi could not remain silent

ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online): Former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has also spoken out against police shelling and beating of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

In his message on Twitter, Shahid Afridi said, “Relentless use of force, violation of the sanctity of the four walls, sticks, bullets, dictatorship, democracy is not at all. Disagreement and protest is a fundamental right and this is the right. We make 220 million people into one nation. ” He appealed for the country to remain a democratic state. He also called for dialogue between the government and the PTI.

It may be recalled that a convoy of PTI led by Imran Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has entered Islamabad. After a day of shelling by the police, shelling has been resumed on PTI activists in D Chowk at night.
