In the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 24 runs for the second consecutive victory in the event.

Group B teams Pakistan and Afghanistan competed in the ongoing Under-19 World Cup in West Indies.

Pakistan’s innings

Batting first against Afghanistan, Pakistan scored 239 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Abdul Fasih remained prominent by scoring 68 runs.

Izharul Haq took 3 wickets for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan’s innings

In pursuit of Pakistan’s 240-run target, Afghanistan scored 215 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, thus the Green Shirts won the match 24 and made it to the quarter finals.

Bilal Saeedi and Ijaz Ahmed scored 42 and 39 runs respectively for Afghanistan.

Owais Ali took 3 wickets in Pakistani bowlers.
