Islamabad: After several weeks of increase in the country, the continuation of the decrease in inflation has started, despite the decrease in the rate of inflation for the second week, the prices of 18 essential items increased further.
According to the report released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the rate of inflation decreased by 0.42 percent during the recent week, while the rate of inflation decreased by 0.16 percent last week as well.
In recent weeks, the inflation rate has come down to 45.49% on an annual basis, in the last 7 days, 18 essential commodities have become expensive, 16 have become cheaper, while the prices of 17 have remained stable.
According to the weekly inflation report released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, 18 basic necessities including energy saver, beef, mutton, raw milk, curd, dal mash, sugar, dry powdered milk, and basmati broken rice have increased in the last one week. Commodities became expensive.
The prices of 16 essential items including chicken, onion, garlic, LPG, flour, vegetable table ghee, gram dal, moong dal, lentils, firewood and mustard oil remained unchanged and prices of 17 essential items remained stable.
According to the Institute of Statistics, the prices of basmati broken rice increased by 1.86%, mutton by 1.22%, fresh milk by 1.20%, beef by 1.03% and energy saver by 4.91%, while the prices of chicken increased by 8.914%, the prices of garlic increased by 8.914%. 2.83% in egg prices, 3.03% in flour prices, 1.51% in mung dal prices, 1.26% in dal masor prices, 2.61% in tomato prices, 2.22% in onion prices, cooking oil prices. Prices fell by 1.01 percent and LPG prices by 3.44 percent.
