In Paris, an unusual ban in front of Valérie Pécresse’s campaign headquarters

A few weeks ago, Valerie Pécresse candidate for the presidential election, announced that it had set up its campaign headquarters in Paris. It is precisely at 8 rue Torricelli, in the 17th arrondissement, that the candidate has put down her suitcases during the campaign.
This installation led to the taking of a specific measure by the prefect of police from Paris. The explanations.
Prohibition to park and stop
On January 3, 2022, the Paris police chief issued an order “prohibiting stopping and parking vehicles in front of the campaign headquarters of Mrs. Valérie Pécresse, candidate for the Presidential election”.
Since that date and until the last day of the election, vehicles are therefore not allowed to park in front of the new premises of the candidate Les Républicains.
This measure is a protective measure. The police prefecture details: “it is advisable to implement specific vigilance and protection measures for the benefit of sites considered sensitive or vulnerable such as the campaign headquarters of candidates throughout the duration of the campaign for the election. to the Presidency of the Republic scheduled for April 10 and 24, 2022. Considering that the ban on stopping and parking near these sites contributes to ensuring their protection by preventing the presence of vehicles that may conceal explosive or incendiary devices” .
Any stopping or parking of a vehicle in breach of this prohibition is considered to be inconvenient.
