On the occasion of Pakistan Martyrs Day, the main ceremony is going on at General Headquarters GHQ.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir is the chief guest of the event.
The present serving and retired officers of the armed forces are also participating in the ceremony, including former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, former Chairman Joint Chiefs General Nadeem Raza and other retired officers.
Apart from this, Chairman Royat Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Mufti Muneebur Rahman, national team captain Babar Azam and other personalities from different walks of life are also present.
The ceremony was started with the recitation of Holy Quran, after which the National Anthem was played.
Army Chief General Asim Munir attended the martyrs’ memorial, offered flowers, recited Fatiha and prayed for the martyrs.
The families of the martyrs present in the ceremony and the school children placed flowers on the memorial of the martyrs.
On the other hand, ceremonies will also be held at the martyrs’ memorials of Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Naval Headquarters, Formation Headquarters and Police.
