C-Pack delay issues resolved: Khalid Mansoor

Khalid Mansoor, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (C-PAC), said that the issues of delay in C-PAC have been resolved.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Khalid Mansoor said that the Prime Minister attended various meetings in China and had a one-on-one meeting with the President of China in which the issues of C-Pack including bilateral relations were also discussed.

He said that the Prime Minister had assured the companies investing in C-Pac that they were standing behind the C-Pac One Window Operations Authority and the Prime Minister’s Office would also help in resolving the problems of Chinese investors.

He said that ECC has decided to give Rs 100 billion to C-Pack IPPs, C-Pack IPPs have been given Rs 50 billion, to get 37 types of approvals in the type of investment that China wants to make. But facilities have been created for the approval of Chinese investment. A facilitation center has been set up for Chinese investors in C-Pac Authority. C-Pac Authority has one window operation.

Khalid Mansoor said that the Prime Minister has assured China to resolve all issues as soon as possible, some power projects in C-Pack are delayed but their problems have been resolved.

He said that a book has been compiled on the sectors of Pakistan which are in need of our economy. In this book, all the sectors have been compared and why Chinese should come and invest in Pakistan. Presented.

He said that there is a huge consortium which has offered to set up a factory for smelting metals in Gwadar, which will create 40,000 jobs.

Khalid Mansoor said that plans were also discussed with China to increase agricultural production. A Chinese company has offered to set up an agri-culture technology transfer center in Pakistan.

He said that with ڈالر 500 million, China has expressed interest in setting up LNG storage in Karachi while a Chinese company has entered into an agreement with a Pakistani company to install optical fiber in major cities.

He further said that a company has also asked for land in science and technology zone to make mobile parts, 200 200 million will be initially invested for making mobile parts, semiconductor chip testing facility in Pakistan. Will be started.

Khalid Mansoor said that a private company in Rashkai has shown interest in investing in electric vehicles while China Energy and Power China have shown interest in various projects up to 4 204 billion in water and power projects, China State Construction Company said. While China Railway Group has shown interest in clean energy, housing projects and special economic zones, China Railway Group has also shown interest in ML-1 project of railways.

Special Assistant to C-Pack said that a Chinese company has also shown interest in Pakistan Steel Mill while another petrochemical company has shown interest in refining in Gwadar.
