Islamabad (Monitoring Desk) After Toyota, Pak Suzuki has also given a warning to shut down its plants if the restrictions imposed on imports continue. According to Business Recorder, Pak Suzuki Spokesperson Shafiq Ahmed Shaikh has said that State Bank has applied preconditions on imports under SH Code 8703. Apart from this, commercial banks are also not opening LCs (Letter of Credit) due to which there is a fear of closing the plant in August.

Shafiq Ahmed Sheikh said that “The company will continue production till July and delivery will be attempted as per the booking till June 22.” If the parts import ban and other restrictions persist till then, the plants may be shut down or production may be curtailed.” Currently, the delivery of the bookings before July is being attempted, but the company is facing difficulties in this too.
