ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online) Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that according to the condition of the IMF, arrangements have been made to get 4 billion dollars from friendly countries, they cannot afford to give subsidy on petroleum products.
In a private news channel program, when the host asked Miftah Ismail, ‘Is the price of petrol going to decrease tomorrow? Because prices have fallen in the international market and the rupee has also weakened?’ On this, he said that there will be no tax or levy of one rupee, there will be no increase from the Ministry of Finance. He also said that we cannot afford to give subsidy on petroleum products, we cannot afford to lose.
Miftah Ismail said that the IMF had set a condition to arrange 4 billion dollars from somewhere else for the loan. We all have to sit down and do the Charter of Economy, it is better if Saudi Arabia confirms the 1 billion dollars of oil.
He further said that Nawaz Sharif has increased the production of electricity, have we increased the industries? When marriage halls were expanded, corruption institutions were created, gentlemen were beheaded and thrown in jail.
