2 FBR officers suspended for leaking tax returns of army chief’s family


Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started an investigation after removing two Grade 18 officers allegedly involved in the tax return leak of the army chief’s family.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sources say that the two officers who are being investigated for allegedly using the login ID and password to leak the tax returns of the army chief’s family have been investigated immediately. has been replaced by RTO.

Sources say that FBR has transferred grade 18 Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue Atif Nawaz Waraich and Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue Zahoor Ahmad to the admin pool of FBR headquarters Islamabad. Officers have been directed to report to FBR HQ admin pool using online Human Resource Management System (HRMS) or their IJP login.

Transfer of six more officers of grades nineteen and twenty

On the other hand, the Federal Board of Revenue has transferred six more grade eleven and twenty officers from the Pakistan Customs Service, while two inspectors of grade sixteen have also been transferred. One of them is a Customs Inspector and the other is an Inland Revenue Inspector.

FBR has issued notification of transfer of officers in which it has been stated that four officers of grade 20 and two officers of grade 19 have been transferred.

Among the grade base officers to be transferred, Syed Shakeel Shah has been transferred from Chief FBR Headquarters Islamabad and posted as Director General (OPS) Directorate General of Reforms and Automation Customs, while grade one officer Muhammad Imran Khan. The additional charge of maintenance of the Directorate General of Reforms and Automation Customs has been withdrawn from the Director General.

Similarly, Grade Base Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Javed has been transferred from Collector Customs (Appeals) Karachi to Director Intelligence and Investigation (Customs) Quetta, Fayyaz Rasool has been transferred to Director Valuation (Customs) Karachi and Collector Collectorate Customs (Appeals) Karachi. Additional charge has also been given while Munib Sarwar has been transferred from Director Intelligence and Investigation (Customs) Peshawar to Lahore, but no posting has been given to him yet.

According to the notification, grade nine officer Naveed Iqbal has been transferred from Director Intelligence and Investigation (Customs) Quetta to Director Intelligence and Investigation (Customs) Peshawar while Miss Halimah Qasim has been transferred from Additional Director Valuation (Customs) Karachi to Secretary. FBR headquarters has been posted in Islamabad.

Similarly, Grade Sixteen Inspector Syed Momin Hussain has been transferred from Collectorate Customs Adjudication to Karachi to Collectorate Customs Hyderabad and Inland Revenue Service Grade Sixteen Officer Liaquat Ali has been transferred from Corporate Tax Office Lahore to RTO Sahiwal. .
