Why Pakistan Refinery closed?  Muftah Ismail claimed the reason


Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former finance minister Muftah Ismail has reacted to non-purchase of furnace oil by power plants and closure of Pakistan refinery.

In his statement, Muftah Ismail said that instead of buying furnace oil from Pakistan refinery, huge import was made while PSO imported 600,000 tons of furnace oil in five months, one ship is still out of furnace oil port.

He claimed that the Pakistan refinery was closed because the power plants were not buying furnace oil from the refinery.

He said that the famous capability of PTI was beyond comprehension.

It may be recalled that Pakistan Refinery Limited with a production capacity of 7.5 million liters per day had to be shut down.

According to Pakistan Refinery Limited, the power plants stopped the purchase of furnace oil due to which the oil storage was filled and the Pakistan refinery with a daily production capacity of 7.5 million liters has been shut down.
