India’s largest airlines IndiGo and GoFirst have grounded 50 Airbus A320 aircraft due to engine supply chain and PNW issues.
However, despite this major technical issue, the airline’s operations will not be affected.
A senior company official at one of the budget carriers said that to overcome the persistent problems with P&W engines, it is also considering changing the engine supplier for their next purchase order.
It should be noted that India’s Indigo Air, which came into existence in August 2005, has emerged as India’s largest airline in just 16 years, maintaining operations at 101 destinations around the world with 310 aircraft.
