Why are overseas Pakistanis selling in Dubai instead of sending dollars directly? New problem for the government

Why are overseas Pakistanis selling in Dubai instead of sending dollars directly …

Dubai (Daily Pakistan Online) Pakistani expatriates started selling their earned US dollars in Dubai instead of sending them directly to their homeland.

According to private TV Geo News, the main reason for overseas Pakistanis selling dollars in Dubai is the high rate there. In Pakistan, 181 rupees are given for one dollar but in Dubai the same dollar is sold for 189 rupees due to which Pakistanis living abroad sell dollars in Dubai and then send Pakistani currency to Pakistan through hindi and hawala.

Malik Bostan, chairman of the Exchange Companies Association, says people are working outside the system because of the government’s crackdown. Afghanistan used to receive تین 3 billion a month in US aid, but now it has stopped, which is why the Pakistani dollar is being used for Afghanistan’s international transactions. The Pakistani government should trade with Afghanistan under the barter system instead of the rupee.
