ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online): The Secretary General of the OIC has made it clear to the world that we have to ensure the territorial integrity of Afghanistan and prevent it from becoming a haven for terrorists again. OIC Secretary General Ibrahim Hussain Taha addressed the inaugural session of the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
Ibrahim Hussain Taha said that the OIC members are constantly monitoring the changing situation in Afghanistan, to help Afghanistan out of the crisis so that the path to peace and development in Afghanistan can be paved.
In his speech, Ibrahim Hussain Taha stressed that Afghanistan must be stopped from becoming a haven for terrorists, for which the United States and other countries, including Muslim countries, should play a role in making this summit a success.
The Secretary General of the OIC said that from the OIC platform I reiterate my full support for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
On the occasion, the Jordanian Foreign Minister said that Afghanistan is currently on the brink of a humanitarian crisis and the Afghan people are suffering from food shortages. Steps must be taken for the security of the Afghan people.
