US envoy to Afghanistan meets with army chief to discuss Afghan security situation

Rawalpindi (92 News) US Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West called on Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa.

According to ADG ISPR, they discussed issues of mutual interest, Afghan security situation and bilateral issues.

The Army Chief said that the world and the region could not afford an unstable Afghanistan, adding that global efforts were essential to save Afghanistan from human catastrophe.

He thanked the US envoy for attending the OIC Extraordinary Summit.

According to DG ISPR, the guest of honor praised Pakistan’s efforts in Afghanistan and Pak-Afghan border management, and reiterated the US commitment to enhance diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
