A statue of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wajid, has been erected in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Abdul Rahman Momin attended the unveiling ceremony in Ankara and unveiled the statue.
A statue of Sheikh Mujib was erected on the avenue named after him in Ankara.
Other Turkish officials, including the governor and mayor of Ankara, also attended the ceremony.
The Bangladeshi Foreign Minister stated in his speech that the diplomatic relations between Turkey and Bangladesh are friendly, and Turkey has provided assistance in every difficulty.
