Islamabad: After the letter of the Speaker National Assembly to the Chief Justice and Supreme Court judges, the Registrar Supreme Court wrote a reply letter.
According to the sources, the Registrar Office of the Supreme Court has written a letter to Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and sought the records of the proceedings of the National Assembly.
The registrar’s office has sought written records of the proceedings of five sittings of the National Assembly, besides the record of the meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance has also been sought from the Speaker’s Office.
According to the sources, the registrar office has sought the records of the meetings of April 6, 10, 17, 26 and 27, which have been sought in response to questions on the Supreme Court order and proceedings.
Sources say that the Speaker of the National Assembly had mentioned the interference of the Supreme Court in the Parliament in the letter, after which the registrar asked for records from the Speaker regarding the judicial interference.
