Islamabad (92 News) – Ex-Chairman NAB Justice Retired Javed Iqbal got a big relief from Islamabad High Court, suspending the Public Accounts Committee’s recommendation to remove him from the post of Chairman of Missing Persons Commission.

The Islamabad High Court suspended the Public Accounts Committee’s recommendation to remove Justice Retired Javed Iqbal from the post of the Chairman of the Missing Persons Commission, issued a notice to the parties on the application against the recommendations of the PAC, and sought a response by August 13.

Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq issued orders on the petition, issued notice to the parties and also stopped disciplinary action against the former Chairman NAB.

Acting Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that the issue of powers of Public Accounts Committee has been raised in two other petitions. Deputy Attorney General Arshad Kayani said that this matter has now gone from PAC to the Inquiry Commission.

The court directed the Deputy Attorney General whether the PAC has finished the proceedings. Inform about the next hearing, Acting Chief Justice said that if the proceedings are not going on in the committee, the application will become ineffective.
