Islam Abad: The Ministry of Science and Technology has termed the rumors circulating regarding non-cooperation of the Election Commission regarding electronic voting machine as baseless.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Science and Technology said that the reports on some TV channels regarding electronic voting machines were incorrect, adding that the government and the Ministry of Science and Technology were committed to holding elections on electronic voting machines. Every possible facility will be provided to the Commission.

The spokesman said that EVM technology is available in the world, manufacturers and companies around the world are ready to provide EVM machines, as soon as the Election Commission issues a tender, the government will provide resources and EVMs. Machines will be easily available, our Ministry will provide full facility to the Election Commission to purchase these machines.
