Lahore (92 News) – Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi says that 20 thousand farmers will be allotted land for 5 years of temporary cultivation through transparent lottery.

A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in which it was decided that another 5 thousand farmers will be given land in Cholistan in the second phase. The draw for the first phase allotment will be conducted by the Punjab Information Technology Board. Allocating land for temporary cultivation will increase economic activities in the area. The problems of farmers of Cholistan will be solved on priority basis.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the people of Cholistan also have an equal right to the resources. Giving land to the landless farmers of Cholistan will change their fortunes.

Special Assistant Dr. Muhammad Afzal, Member of Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Ahsan, Senior Member Board of Revenue Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister GM Sikandar, MD Cholistan Development Authority and related officials attended the meeting. .
