Peshawar: The Election Commission has fined Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other party leaders for violating the code of conduct for local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Express News, the Election Commission of Pakistan has fined PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Rs 50,000 for violating the code of conduct for local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Besides Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the ECP has also imposed fines of Rs 50,000 each on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Syed Khurshid Shah, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Nisar Khorro and Member National Assembly Qadir Patel. In addition, Nighat Orakzai has been warned for violating the code of conduct.

The Election Commission has said that a case of repeated violation of code of conduct during the election campaign will be referred to the Election Commission.

It should be noted that local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held on December 19.
