The tweet of the American diplomat received a strong response from the protesters. The protesters said that their protest is for the change of government and not for getting rights.
US diplomat Rob Milley, speaking at an event after heavy criticism, said he admitted it was a mistake to tweet about it. He said that it does not depend on me or anyone else what the people of Iran on the streets want.
