Islam Abad: Customs arrested a suspect under the guise of sugar cane on the way to Tor Khumm, thwarting the smuggling of clothes worth more than Rs 10 million, Indian Origin Haqqa, rat poison, fire cracker, chewing tobacco and drugs.

According to Express News, the vehicle entering Pakistan via Torkham border from Afghanistan was apparently loaded with sugar but the scanner found suspicious items on which a thorough check of the vehicle revealed various items including Textiles, Indian origin haqqa, rat poison, fire cracker, chewing tobacco and others.

According to preliminary estimates, the value of the items recovered from the vehicle is more than Rs. He wanted to smuggle goods without any duty or taxes.

Pakistan Customs, a subsidiary of FBR, confiscated the vehicle and arrested an accused against whom an FIR has been registered and further investigation has been started.
