SBP sets new dollar buying limit on daily and annual basis
KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has set a new limit for buying dollars on daily and annual basis. On a daily basis, the dollar purchase limit was reduced from ہزار 50,000 to ہزار 10,000.
The central bank has set a limit of لاکھ 100,000 for dollar purchases on an annual basis. There was no limit to buying dollars on an annual basis.
The purpose of lowering the dollar purchase limit is to prevent dollar speculation.
