Saudi Foreign Minister meets Army Chief, discusses situation in the region and Afghan affairs

Islam Abad: The Saudi Foreign Minister called on Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa and discussed the situation in the region and Afghan issues. The Army Chief said that the extraordinary meeting of the OIC was to coordinate global efforts in Afghanistan.

According to DG ISPR, the Saudi Foreign Minister called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. The current situation in Afghanistan and mutual defense cooperation were discussed during the meeting. The Army Chief thanked the OIC Foreign Ministers for convening the meeting.

The Army Chief said that the extraordinary meeting of the OIC to coordinate global efforts in Afghanistan, the OIC meeting is of utmost importance in the context of Afghanistan, Pakistan has highlighted its historic fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia. A peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute is essential for lasting stability in South Asia. Pakistan seeks better relations with all its neighbors for regional peace and stability.

The Saudi Foreign Minister praised Pakistan’s role in the situation in Afghanistan and commended Pakistan’s efforts for border management and regional stability.

The Saudi Foreign Minister reiterated his commitment to further enhance diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
