Quetta: Acting Governor of Balochistan Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali has said that the electricity system in the flood-affected districts was badly damaged, restoring electricity to Quetta in a short time is an exemplary achievement.
Talking to the Chief Executive Officer of KISCO Abdul Karim Jamali, he said that the concrete steps to correct the electricity system and the repair work by starting the process of transferring the equipment in connection with the repair and maintenance of the towers are commendable.
He further said that the repair and rehabilitation of the affected towers of 132 KV VTPS, Yarow Section and 66 KV Sorange Section were also completed in a record period.
Apart from this, Chief Executive Officer KISCO Abdul Karim Jamali said that the electrical infrastructure of KISCO has been damaged due to recent monsoon rains and floods.
He said that until September 9, 2022, there has been a loss of around 983 million rupees to the infrastructure of KISCO across the province.
