Request to make electricity more expensive by Rs. 4.33 per unit


ISLAMABAD: The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested NEPRA to increase the price of electricity.

A request from the Central Power Purchasing Agency has been made to increase the price of electricity in the context of November’s fuel price adjustment.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency has requested an increase of Rs 4.33 paise in the price of electricity.

The petition said that a total of 8.48 billion units of electricity was generated in November and 8.24 billion units were sold to power distribution companies.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority said the hearing would be held on December 29 at the request of the Central Power Purchasing Agency.
