Once again, preparations are being made to drop a petrol bomb on the people due to inflation, in which petrol is likely to be 30 rupees more expensive.
According to sources, the government is considering imposing 17 percent GST on petroleum products.
At the end of January, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had announced a huge hike of Rs 35 in the price of petrol and diesel.
After this announcement, the price of petrol was Rs 249 80 paise while the price of high speed diesel per liter was Rs 262 80 paise per litre.
Similarly, kerosene is available at Rs 189.83 per liter and light diesel oil is available at Rs 187 per litre.
