Parliament was dissolved to pave the way for elections in Thailand.
According to a foreign news agency, Thailand’s King Maharaja Longkorn has approved the decree to dissolve the parliament.
It should be noted that elections are to be held in May in Thailand and elections must be held 45 to 60 days after the dissolution of the parliament in Thailand, but the date of the elections has not yet been revealed.
According to local media, the Conservative Royalist Thai Nation Party of current Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha is facing a tough competition from self-exiled former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in the general elections.
