Ogra rejects speculations of increasing petrol prices


Wrong speculations should be avoided in public interest, Ogra spokesperson

Karachi: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has dismissed speculations of a hike in petrol and diesel prices.

Spokesperson OGRA Imran Ghaznavi said that the speculations regarding the prices of petrol and diesel are wrong, misleading speculations are being made in the media, false rumors should be avoided in public interest.

It should be noted that there are rumors of an increase in the price of petrol by 80 rupees per liter and non-availability of petrol at the pumps on the media and social media.

The reason for this increase is being attributed to IMF’s strict conditions for disbursing loans.
