The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has received a request to increase the price of electricity.
According to the statement released by Nepra, Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested to increase the price of electricity in the fuel price adjustment of August.
According to the announcement, a request has been made by CPPA to raise the price of electricity by 22 paise per unit, which will be heard on September 29.
The Nepra statement said that the application of CPPA to increase the price of electricity is for companies other than electric.
It should be remembered that due to the end of one-slab benefit in electricity bills, consumers have started receiving heavy bills.
