Washington: The United States has released Majid Khan, a Pakistani citizen imprisoned in the notorious Guantanamo Bay prison.

According to the American media, Majid Khan has been transferred to the American state of Belize after his release from Guantanamo Bay. The sentence was passed.

In 2021, Majid Khan, who was imprisoned in the US prison Guantanamo Bay, known for the inhumane torture of Muslim prisoners, told the court that despite cooperating with the investigating authorities, he was subjected to the worst torture. Several false stories had to be told to appease the interrogators and to avoid brutal torture.

According to US officials, there are still 34 prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, with 20 prisoners eligible for transfer.
