Michael Kogelman, an American intellectual and director of the South Asia Program at the Wilson Center, a leading think tank, has harshly criticized Indian extremists for letting them go.
Regarding the violent protests against the hijab in the Indian state of Karnataka, Kogalman tweeted that the flames of hatred had spread in Indian schools where young Muslim women were being harassed simply for exercising their constitutional rights.
What a sign for India’s future that haters are encouraged when the state reacts very quietly, Kogelman said.
