According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), issues of mutual interest, regional security and the evolving situation in Afghanistan were discussed during the meeting. Appreciated the special efforts for stability and pledged to play its role for further improvement of diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
During the meeting, General Qamar Javed Bajwa emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation initiatives in Afghanistan and said that there was an urgent need to formulate institutional procedures to deliver aid to prevent human tragedy in Afghanistan. Pakistan is keen to enhance bilateral relations with Japan, seeking cordial relations with all its neighbors for regional peace and prosperity. A peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace and stability in South Asia.
