The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started searching for coaches while an advertisement has also been placed for the appointment of coaches in the National High Performance Center.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has called for applications for High Performance Coach, Batting Coach, Bowling Coach, Fielding Coach and Power Hunting Coach.
It should be noted that for the first time, the services of a power hitting coach will be hired for the Pakistan team while the coaches will be posted at the National High Performance Center and the role of the coaches will be focused on the new generation of cricketers.
According to the PCB, aspirants for coaches can submit applications till January 17.
It is to be noted that Thaqleen Mushtaq is currently the Head International Player Development at the National High Performance Center, who has been acting interim head coach since the resignation of Misbah-ul-Haq, while Shahid Aslam is also basically a High Performance Coach. It may be recalled that wicket keeper, fielding coach Atiqul Zaman and bowling coach Muhammad Zahid have resigned at the National High Performance Center.
Abdul Majeed, who was the fielding coach with the Pakistan team, was also among the coaches of the National High Performance.
Chairman Rameez Raja had told the media a few days ago that high profile coaches would be appointed at the National High Performance Center, from where they would work with national teams.
