Iran seized another oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: This week, Iran seized another oil tanker from Dubai in the Strait of Hormuz.

The oil tanker had departed from Dubai and was transiting the Arabian Gulf to the Emirati port of Fujairah when a dozen warships from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Navy (IRGCN) surrounded the vessel in the middle of the strait.

The IRGCN intercepted the oil tanker and forced its captain to reverse the vessel, after which the vessel was diverted to Bandar Abbas, Iran.

It should be noted that a similar incident happened six days ago when the Iranian Navy seized the first oil tanker from the Gulf of Oman this week.
