UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres says that the international community is concerned about terrorism and drug trafficking in Afghanistan.
A two-day UN-led meeting on the situation in Afghanistan ended in Doha.
No representative of the interim government of Afghanistan was present in the meeting, representatives of more than 20 countries and international organizations including Pakistan participated in the meeting.
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that the meeting did not include talks on recognizing the Taliban government, the meeting with the Taliban will be held at an appropriate time.
Antonio Guterres said that the international community is concerned about terrorism and drug trafficking in Afghanistan, the lack of involvement of Afghan women in social affairs is also a cause for concern.
On the other hand, the Taliban government has rejected the demand to remove the ban on women’s work and education, calling it an internal social issue of Afghanistan.
