Inflation is likely to rise further in Pakistan, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said.

ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed fears of further rise in inflation in Pakistan. In addition, rising commodity prices in the global market will also increase inflation in Pakistan.

In addition, the Asian Development Bank has approved a loan of کروڑ 200 million for irrigation system in Punjab. The loan will be spent on construction of Chobara Irrigation Canal System in Punjab. The Chobara canal system supplies water to Bhakkar, Layyah, Mazargarh, Jhang and Khushab. The Chobara canal system irrigates more than 700,000 acres in five districts of Punjab.
