Washington (Daily Pakistan Online) Indian-American businessman Ajay Singh Banga has been elected as the new president of the World Bank.
According to the announcement of the World Bank, the 25-member board approved the bank’s 14 presidents. Ajaypal Singh Banga will assume his duties on June 2. He was nominated by President Joe Biden for a 5-year term.
It should be noted that the current president of the World Bank, David Malpass, will resign from his position in a few days.
