Kathmandu: 17 people were killed and 11 injured in the landslides that occurred after heavy rains in the western regions of Nepal.
According to the World News Agency, the rains caused havoc in Nepal. Many houses were buried under mudslides in landslides in continuous rains.
The rescue team has pulled out 17 bodies from the wreckage of the destroyed houses, while 11 people have been shifted to the hospital with serious injuries, two of them are in a critical condition.
In mountainous Nepal, more than 1,000 people are killed in landslides every year, but this year, there has been an increase in these incidents during the monsoon rains.
The meteorological department has predicted that the rains will continue for two more days and has instructed the citizens of the affected areas not to leave their homes unnecessarily.
