ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought final arguments in cases against real estate businesses in the name of ministries and subsidiaries. During the hearing, the court remarked that It is illegal to do so.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that whether government controlled entities can do any business directly or indirectly. The Attorney General will decide the case at the next hearing.
Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah told the court that a summary would be sent to the cabinet as per the court order. The court remarked that while this court is telling you that it is a matter of fundamental rights, can these government agencies do real estate business in their own name? The FIA takes action against illegal societies. It is also working. The state itself protects criminals. It is seen in criminal appeals here. This court will decide after looking at the law.
