“Dear people, I like the Christmas decoration of your home. You make me happy with all these lights. »A small signed note Lou, 3 and a half years old, written on December 11 in red marker (probably by his mother or father) with a “drawing”: this is what Mickaël Goyat found in his letterbox on Monday, December 13.
And that’s not all, there was a second envelope with another letter signed by Jules, 6 years old.
Hello sir madam. I think your house is pretty. I like the decorations on the houses. I really like it when it’s lit up with your decor. Every morning, I pass by your house when it is still dark and that makes me happy. Have a Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays.
These two children are amazed on a daily basis by the illuminations installed by Mickaël Goyat, living in 4 rue Henri-Cornat at La Glacerie. With his wife Marine, they decided to contact La Manche Press to initiate a call.

“We were very touched”
“We were very touched by these two letters and we would like to thank them. However, they did not leave us an address. Could you help us find them? “
It has been 7 years since the family moved into this house located almost opposite the Emile-Zola college, that the 31-year-old scrambles to brighten the streets from late November to mid-January.
“This year, our 3½ year old son Valentin helped me out,” he smiles. It is above all for the children that I do this. Everytime, I spend 300 €, between the novelties and the garlands that I can not always repair, because there is breakage due to the wind. “
For 2021, there is between 250 and 300 m of garlands golden or multicolored, “with only Led bulbs that do not consume”. But also inflatable decorations: Santa Claus, snowman, reindeer… and a cable connecting the house to the gate with Santa Claus and his gifts seeming to fly in the sky.
I would like neighbors to follow the example in our street, as is the case in a district of Tourlaville.
Honking
In the meantime, he is the one who sometimes receives congratulatory honks for his house, “and you can hear people braking, even stopping to admire him”. And then there are the little words left in the box. “I answer them every time, and I even put candy in the envelope to thank people. But this is the first time that I do not have an address to do so. “
Determined, the one who also decorates his home for Halloween did not hesitate to contact the parents’ association of the Kergomard school attended by his son, and even some nannies in the sector, without success until now.
For the record, it was in the maternity ward that Marine Goyat was able to discover these two nice words… the day after a happy event: the birth of Clémentine.
