In 2021, Mexico, Afghanistan, Yemen, and India were declared the worst countries for journalists.

Reporters Without Borders reported that 46 journalists around the world were killed and 488 people were imprisoned, including 60 women.

According to reports, 65% of the journalists killed were deliberately targeted.

The report further pointed out that Mexico, Afghanistan, Yemen and India are the worst countries for journalists this year.

Seven journalists were killed in Mexico, six in Afghanistan, four in Yemen, and four in India.

According to the organization, 127 journalists are the most imprisoned in China.

In addition, 53 journalists were in prison in Myanmar, 43 in Vietnam, 32 in Belarus, and 31 in Saudi Arabia.
