Former Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared in the court through video link in the defamation case against Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.
In the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, a case of damages of 10 billion rupees against Imran Khan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif was heard.
The case was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Umid Ali Baloch. Imran Khan appeared in the court through video link while Khawaja Asif and Imran Khan’s lawyers also appeared in front of the court.
Khawaja Asif’s lawyer asked Imran Khan about the investment in the housing project, to which Imran Khan replied that he was told about it by the Board of Governors of Shaukat Khanum, but he does not remember the name of the housing project.
He was asked whether you were informed in writing by the hospital board. In response to this, the PTI chairman said that he did not remember whether the board informed in writing or not, the matter ended after the board member returned the 3 million dollars.
Khawaja Asif’s lawyer said in arguments that the matter is not over, the matter starts from there, at the time of investment of 3 million dollars, the rate was 60 rupees, when it came back it was 120 rupees.
Imran Khan’s lawyer requested to adjourn the hearing, on which Khawaja Asif’s lawyer said that give 2 hours for the next hearing, I will complete the cross-examination.
The court adjourned the hearing and the cross-examination of Imran Khan will continue in the next hearing as well.
