The captain of the national team, Babar Azam, says that there was no bus fare to go to the academy, he used to go on foot and sometimes he used to eat samosas with the money saved by not paying the fare due to the rush in the bus.
An interview of Babar Azam has been shared on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) YouTube channel, in which Babar Azam can be seen discussing the ups and downs of his cricketing journey.
During the interview, Babar Azam said that on the day when the call came to officially play for the national team, my family including me was extremely happy. I remembered the beginning when I used to come to the stadium as a ball picker.
During the intro, captain Babar Azam said that whatever happens today is hard work and struggle. During his cricket journey, he used to reach the academy in the morning and then come back in the evening. There was no rent, sometimes he would go on foot and sometimes he would walk back.
The captain of the national team said that sometimes there was a rush in the bus on his way back, so he used to save the bus fare by saving money and then used that money to eat samosas in his area.
