ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has hiked the price of electricity by Rs4.74 paise.

NEPRA has issued a notification to increase the price of electricity by Rs. The price of electricity has been increased in the context of fuel price adjustment for the month of October. The decision will not apply to Lifeline and K Electric customers. Consumers will be charged extra in December bills.

It may be recalled that earlier the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested to increase the price of electricity. NEPRA increased the number of requests made by CPPA.
